I agree with everything that has been said.  The truth of the matter is that it isn't just the T.V. preachers.  It is happening all over the world!  Even Billy Graham has been a wolf in sheeps clothing.  Google it, Billy Graham compromises Christianity.  He made a live statement on t.v. in front of a national audience that you didn't even need Jesus!  Look at the horrid anti-christian, new age crap that Oprah is selling.  Talk about self-idolization!  The wheels are in motion now.  Keep your eyes and ears open!  If your paster in ANY WAY perverts the Bible.  If he/she makes their Golf Game, or their Family, or the Band, or how entertaining and funny he is more important that Christ, you are in the wrong church!  Every Church I've been to has been like Stepford Wives.  Plastic Preacher, Plastic People.  False doctrine.  I can know within five minutes of walking into a church what it is about.  God is Angry Now!  This isn't a dress rehearsal!  We ARE living in the last days!  I'm more qualified to be a paster than most of these pasters and I would never do it because I am a Women and Paul said in essence that Women weren't to preach.  Who cares if they have numerous degrees?  Big Deal!  How many degrees did John The Baptist have?  Read Revelations and Christs letter to the seven churches.  How they had lost their passion For him!  How many people are getting rich off of Jesus?  Those Bad churches are the majority of what we have now.  I found Christ at home by myself and the Holy Spirit leading me through the Bible.  I devoted a year and a half to it.  It was the most fulfilling time of my life!  Prophecys are all being fulfilled, this is all part of God's plan.  All you can do is warn people.  Sad to say it, the road is narrow, even the gate is narrow and FEW will pass through.  This fuzzy, feel good, do anything, I've said my one time, I've accepted Jesus prayer and now I'm saved, is a lie from the pit of Hell!  There are more people dying for Jesus now all over this world then there were 100 years after his death.  America is spoiled!  People are responsible for their own actions.  If they aren't willing to search the scriptures and find out who God really is then it is on them.  You can get Bibles for free, they are even in Hotel rooms.  The Blind leading the Blind!  No shades of grey, it's either black or white.  Two roads, heaven or hell.  That is it!  I truly believe in what you are doing and saying, but the time is coming when we will be forced to have bible studies in are own homes.  All of these so called preachers and teachers are taking us right into the one world order and so is our government.  The way for Satin is being paved.  I am not a fanatic, I am a follower of Christ.  An Avid student, an avid repenter, and a sinner who has been chosen by God, why I'll never understand.  If I were to loose everything today, and all I had was our Lord, it simply doesn't get any better than that.  Kimberly  (concerning the Joyce Meyer article) 

I just read your article on Joel Osteen and i disagree with you.  i think the only way back to God for this world is to learn to be happy with everything that we are going through and try to make anything negative into positive.  God loves us and we need to realize that all negativity is send by God to help us grow spriitually, to learn to make it positive.  He wants us to go back and be like children, to trust in Him completely and to know in our hearts that there is no sin bigger than His love and His mercy.  If you believe in Him and trust in Him than have no doubt.     Blanca

I have learned a great deal from your website, regarding the bible, but I do take exception to your negativity about Joel Osteen.  of course you have every right to your opinion, but I have felt such overwhelming fear in these last few months, and this pastor has helped me to get a grip, and see that God is in charge. in these times, we need a positive vision, and this nice young man seems to understand and love people, no matter who or what they are.  for a senior citizen who grew up catholic, it is a refreshing change, and closer to the good, kind God I believe exists.  

I read your article on Kim Clement, as a false prophet. After reading it, and how the paragraphs were wrote, Kim Clement is not a false prophet. Here are my reasons:

in the old testament, we see that most prophesies took years to be fulfilled, and I mean years. I am honestly shocked to see that you missed that. Take the Captivity of all Israel for example, since the prophets first said it would happen, it took many years to happen.

The scriptures does tell us to test the spirits, yes this is true, and it does tell us how to identify false prophets, true. I see from the articles on your site that you have a lot of spiritual growing up to do, and I mean a lot...

The bible says that No Murderer will enter the kingdom of God. A pack of smokes say on them that they kill you. So a person who smokes knows they are killing themselves and that is suicide/murder. There is no difference in smoking and putting a gun to your head. When a person kills themselves, it is because they have no hope. No hope means they have no faith. And without faith it is impossible to please God. And God's word says that the just shall live by faith.

 A person smokes because they think they need it even though they know it is killing them. They also know that God's word says that there is no temptation that God through Christ can take from a person if they have faith.

 And we know that God's word says that we are saved by grace through faith, our faith. Faith is a verb. And if we lose faith and give up, then we give up our life in Him. Because if we hold fast to the end, we receive at the end of our life of faith; eternal life.

 So don't be a Demas and give up. He was once a great man in the Lord who had the Spirit of God, but let it all go because he'd rather feed his flesh and in the end, LOST and perished with the non-believers.

 The Word of God is Black & White. Take it for what it says. You don't need a person who says he has a doctorate in theology to know what is common sense. A child can understand the Word.

 So the next puff you take is one breath closer to eternal damnation. End!

I've been reading a lot of your site and I've noticed that many, when they write their columns in your site seem to say, "I am not putting down nor degrading these pastors and such".

 But I believe by God's Word, that as Paul tells us in Romans 16:21; "To MARK those who cause derision and teach contrary to the Word of God and avoid them".

 I think as Christians, we are called also to be watchmen on the wall and warn of the dangers of these people and their teachings, otherwise many will perish.

 Discernment and also common sense shows that these false so-called pastors are not Christians but are rather what Jesus told the Pharisees; "In teaching them, you make them twice the devils as you are."

 Let's face it, almost all these so-called preachers we see and hear are nothing more than products of the devils that taught them. They are mostly all taught from schools which teach the bible. But the problem is, is that instead of learning God's word through the Holy Spirit teaching them, they are just learning it as if it was just a school history book and they're learning it with an earthly and worldly heart and mind and not with a born-again spiritual heart.

 So the only so-called preachers and teachers being pumped out of these seminaries are worldly men and women who memorize the bible like we memorize any other book.

 Then we get these worldly people who are mammon-minded and have figured out a way to use it to their advantage, and presto! you have a Televangelist or a religious-carnie.

 Just like Martin Luther warned us of the RCC, it's teaching and it's leaders, we also should warn about these men and women, who are NOT even Christian. And yes, I mean NOT. Reading God's Word and praying about what we read will truly give a Christian a discerning heart and mind by just simply watching and hearing them.

 These people must be pointed out so that Christians new and old should avoid them, because they are of the world and not of God.

 A high percentage of Christians support these carnies because we have left our first love and nothing is being said because we are afraid we are judging. But we must judge righteous judgment and shout out these warnings.

 These carnies are living high on the hog by taking advantage of God's people and hide behind tax-exempt status. They should not be able to have tax-exempt status because they are not teaching the word exactly as Jesus told us and thus they should have it revoked.

 God's word tells us to do and live everything in moderation, which they don't. Jesus said, "My Words are Spirit and Truth," but they teach it worldly.

 So since they are claiming tax-exemption because of their Christian beliefs, but not following nor teaching true Christian beliefs handed to us by Jesus, then they are lying and cannot stand behind saying they are a Christian organization. So if they want tax-exempt status, they must rather claim they are a religious-cult church and NOT Christian.

 They twist the scriptures to their own destruction and are taking millions with them and they must be exposed. This is why the world does not listen anymore because they think they are what Christians are and thus the world counts true Christians with those deceivers.

 I'm truly thinking about writing a small book or pamphlet for ALL the world to read and see about these deceivers and instead of saying Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I'll call it Dollars, Cents and Holy Cow!

Only the god made in man's image would limit the blessings to His children and the tools they need to complete what He has asked of them.

The greatest reason Jesse is rich and is who Jesse is, is because Jesse doesn't care about Jesse. His focus is Jesus.  He would preach as he does whether he had the money or not.  He already has. Jesse has proved his faithfulness and when God has a man who loves Him more than he loves money, God pours more in his direction.

He is total sold out for Jesus and the manifestations of scripture in his and Kathy's life bare witness to the truth of the Word of God.

Yes, he is funny... it is called the joy of the Lord.

You mentioned if one still believes Jesse to be a true preacher after reading your words that you pray for us...

Return to the The Word of God... Abraham, David, Job, Solomon, and a host of many others were rich beyond understanding... because they were obedient and loved the Lord God with all their heart.  Just as Jesse and Kathy do.

Jesus was the richest and most powerful man in the world. He was a king...yet he was born to a woman who's husband was not the father of her child... he was born in a stable... he was rejected by his hometown and friends... he was falsely accused... he was humble and humiliated... he was murdered.  Why? So every single person on this earth would know He did it for ALL of mankind and to allow fellowship with the Father.

If we have accepted Jesus, we are 'in Him'... we are one.

Right now Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father and is rich beyond measure...

If we are 'in Him' ... we are too.

Unfortunately, the majority of believers live their lives thinking with their own minds and the human mind puts limits on what 'we' can do. Fear and reasoning are the greatest blocks.

But when we are born again, the bible tells us we have been given the mind of Christ. If this is true, then there are no limits to what we can do and what we can be blessed with.  Our God is infinite... there are no limits.

Jesse Duplantis knows this principle... why crucify him with your words because you do not?

If you indeed still believe as you did, I pray that before you die, you will have at least one week of believing as the Lord died to have us believe.  Truly free.

Let me start by saying that I never pick fights. It's just not my inner desire, nor does it do any good. That said, I'm nearly seeing red over your "insightful journalism" in the article that had a YouTube link & a written transcript of a Larry King interview. I looked for an author, but it wasn't popping out to me.

I wouldn't have signed it either.

Joel may not make you squirm in your seat, or make you feel uncomfortable about your walk with Jesus, but is that needed from every last pastor? No.

Some can come forward & deliver the message of love & salvation, and when someone gets the fire for Jesus, then hit them with some harder issues. You are well aware of the fact that you were called to be "fishers of men" - Joel's doing it, and the "bait" is a message of love & acceptance. We can worry about the harder issues once we show love.

America & the world is full of enough things to squash a new believer or a non believer when it comes to their walk with God, and I contend that it's the work of Satan. He's a crafty one, and just because you have advanced beyond John 3:16 doesn't mean a guy like Joel shouldn't repeat it. The people of the world need to hear that message, and it should be repeated whenever possible.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and I bet Joel has brought more souls to the Lord than you. He makes no bones about who he is, or lie about having degrees to hang on his wall to prove he can give a message of love. If that's so important, then I'd love to see John the Baptist's PHD.

You should be ashamed of treading on a honest guy who isn't afraid to simply say "I don't know" a few times in a interview. If we aired out your dirty laundry, what would we find?

I'm disgusted to have spent time reading your article, and as such you have turned me off from reading any other portion of your website. It's a shame that works as it does, especially when there may have been good content elsewhere. There's that honey & vinegar principle again.

You are so right with this article. I am a born again Christian and belong to a Baptist church and all they care about is numbers. Most members seem to go to church just to be with their friends and to be seen. Most wouldn't know THE HOLY SPIRIT if it slapped them in the face, they are more concerned with following the will of the majority than THE WILL OF GOD. I'm sorry if I sounded rather harsh but I just needed to sound off. I believe that most of them will be sitting in the same pew waiting for church service to begin the first Sunday after the rapture and not even notice that some of their members are missing.

I didn't know where best ask this on your site, because this isn't really a blog question.

I have issue with professing Christian pastors selling their professed God given messages.  Televangelists mostly.  I know many other "on air" media pastors that freely send copies of any information concerning God's word to anyone that asks for it.  Jesse Duplantis, John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, and the list goes on all sell God's word.  I know when I was lost, this is what partly kept my heart closed to the Gospel.  The apparent hypocrisy.  Taking advantage of mindless sheep.  I have recently written correspondence to some of these ministries asking for scripture to justify what they do. It will be interesting to hear the response, if I get one.  Do you know what they say to justify what they do?  I agree with what is said on your site concerning Jesse.  I heard his visit to heaven sermon. If you can call it a sermon.  I really struggled with him after that.  I know God can do anything, but I struggle with Jesse's witness to a lost world by his ministry of wealth and apparent special attention he says he gets from God.  There is nothing wrong with wealth according to scripture, but his flaunting it concerns me.  I would love to hear from you on this issue.

I just wanted to say that I think your website is great!!!  It plainly tells us in the word to speak out against false prophets, and that is exactly what you are doing.  It makes me mad that these people are making this money and doing these things in the name of Jesus.  They are obviously mis-lead themselves, I have had to remind myself of that time and time again so that I can pray for them in the right way.  I have often ranted and raved and said at least a devil worshiper admits that they are a devil worshiper, these people are doing it in the name of Christ.  I know.....strong words for me to judge with......that is why I have to bring myself down to a place to pray for them, because God wants me to love them, so that they can turn from their sin, so they can make it to heaven someday.  This doesn't mean that they shouldn't be called out though.  What makes me mad is that they teach people to judge others in their doctrine, but they sure don't like it when you call them out do they, lol.  Thanks brother, and keep up the good work.

What an interesting article!!!!   This is the first article I have seen about his "new" book, although I hear his advertisement on TBN and Daystar, and  when I hear his "advertisement" of  In Defense of Israel (the book), I think.. the Eternal does not need John Hagee to defend Israel - they are his chosen, the apple of his eye; he has not forsaken them and never will.  There are many prophecies about Israel, Jerusalem, etc., and they all are positive results.  Their Eloha is the Creator and when the world comes up against Israel they are coming up against God Almighty; therefore, they cannot win.

We are admonished to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to love the Jews, to help them (and not think ourselves higher than they are).   I believe that most evangelists are "stumbling" over that Rock - they do not want to see the Truth as it has been given by a Holy God.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts with you about this article.  Pastor Joel Osteen and his church family have so influenced the lives of millions of people.  Pastor Osteen has been called to give so many people hope, and he is doing just that.  We are living here on earth, not heaven, but on earth and in turbulent times. Times of hypocrisy. Times where adults are asking "what's wrong with our children?" The children who are our future.  These same children who have access to pornography through the internet, which provides them a glimpse of child perpetrators, abusers, drugs, and offer sex, sin and stink.  The problem is not with our children, it is with our adults.  And, hope can be the answer for many adults to reach a universal resolve of living in harmony, while we are still here on earth.

Now here comes one who can provide hope though his own humility.  One who offers personal testimonies about his life and family, and to touch the tears of so many......  I would say to those who are so critical about Pastor Osteen's message to examine themselves. Furthermore, for them to question how many people they have directed or re-directed to Christ.  They must know that the other side of the light is darkness, and many do not know where the light ends and the darkness begins.  Therefore, that same light can come to those who are called by "deception".  A deception that leads them to see themselves as "Holier than God" and then they feel a certain responsibility to constantly preach about judgment and damnation.  God is our witness, that we already have more than enough of those misguided men of the cloth, who on their televised programs are always asking for money, as if money is going to be what gets you into Heaven.  I would also ask those who would be so critical of the good work that is being done by Pastor Osteen that 'if he is leading so many little lambs to the Chief Shepherd, then why, in the name of our Lord, are they calling it heresy?'  I would say, do not challenge the method, look at the outcome, look at the result.  Oh, wait a minute, that's right, they will not know the result until they enter into the Heavenly gates and then they will be a witness and a receiver as to the abundant work completed by Pastor Osteen while he was still on earth.....

Yes, the Word tells us that we must be called to repentance, an asking of forgiveness of our sins.  That is what I will continue to do, and hopefully, those who are called to be judgmental will do the same.  I am also going to continue to listen and enjoy the stories so told by Pastor Osteen with compassion, with honor and love.  A love that strengthens me to look forward to a tomorrow, while I am still, yet here on earth.

We are so blessed and I am so glad that 'man' is not our God.  Man is so far away from the true essence of God.  Man should leave the judgments and the penalties to God, when that time comes.  And, while man is still here on earth, he should stay in the fold of giving hope, renewal, and restoration.  I thank God for His eternities and humbly accept man's transistorizes.

III John-4 I learned of the article from the Noble Berean, It is a very informative article but those who need to see what these people are doing to the little people will not see this. These people are brain washers and the poor people that give their money are just as poor if not poorer the one who has more is the takers. good articles lets see what the IRS does with all of them.
