On your knees, in true humiity, and by His precious Holy Spirit, God will reveal the truth. The one time I heard Jesse preach, at a conference of my church involving many preachers, from Jesse Duplantis, Robb Thompson, Kong Hee, among many others, I found Jesse to be a bit extravagant but his message was really life-changing for me. Yes, he spoke humor about money and being blessed abundantly, but his underlying message was memorable, as well as Biblical (have it on tape). I attend a church where there's a Sunday night service where people are baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit may not move you around the room, but you can become overcome and fall to the ground in a fainting-like manner. Everyone is human, including pastors. They like nice things. I would suggest you get to know the man instead of being so critical of his message. It's just a thought for this new year. Blasting him online might not be what Jesus would do, either.
Just a thought. I read your
site with interest. I was concerned about your belief in the trinity
& seemingly cessationist theology but felt you were preaching the
true Word. It is almost "charismatic flakiness" to ignore the
distortion and interpolation of the scriptures after the first
Christians. An example, compare the end of Matthew re. water baptism
&the book of Acts where people were baptized using Jesus' Name based
on Is 9:6. We have to go back to what was available to the first
church; the scriptures of theOT, the baptism in the Holy Spirit &
water baptism in Jesus' Name. The trinity doct. was intro. in 325AD.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit &speaking in tongues lasted long after

Anybody with a gift of gab, some knowledge of the bible, and the connections to get on television can become wealthy via this garbage preaching. Jack's presentations out of context. Every one of his 'shows" I've
seen, he preaches that Jesus is the only way. While I agree with
you on Islam & the Roman Catholic Church, the "members" are still
God's children and deserve our love. While I've never understood
how children raised in Christian homes could be "fooled" into
accept Islam, we see this today here in the USA. If Jack "truly"
believes Islam & Christianity can co-exist, then Allah has mislead

accusations. If you know the word so well then you are quite aware
that the devil is the accuser of the brethren. It sounds like you
may be suffering from a spirit of envy or jealousy that such a
soldier of God to be bearing such fruit in her life, including the
ravish lifestyle that you don't think she deserves. That also is an
example of the fruit she bears in her life because she is faithful

Did you read the book "The Power of
your Subconscious Mind?" Try reading that book first. Then read the
facts that I wrote in my book "Twist of Fate."
Jesus was the greatest healer and the
greatest teacher. However, he also said,"These things and more you
too can also do." Adam the dream healer is not healing anyone, the
people are healing themelves. The power of suggestion is what heals
the people. This is how and why the Placebo effect works. I am sure
you know all of this. However, in case you don't just know "that all
people have the ability to heal themselves." When you are in an
Alpha state or in desperate need for an answer, you will believe
anyone, so it looks like the other person is healing you, but in
fact you are only allowing them to heal you.
Furthermore, Jesus said,"Believe ye
have what so ever ye ask for when ye pray and you will have it."
This is basically using a techique called Guided Imagery or
Visualization and it does work. When the mind thinks it is healthy
or even a non smoker, then it becomes healthy and a non smoker.
About Satan - there is a lot of evil
in the world because the Queen, Pope, Federal Reserve, Rothschild,
and other important people control the media, and it looks like they
are controlling you as well. What are you doing? Why would you want
to debunk a person who is trying to help people and help humanity to
heal itself? I hope you will wake up soon. We are all one and we are
all God's children. There is good and there is bad, try and observe

careful of mis-applying your Calvinism to Mr.. Duplantis,
specifically John 15:16
That
is a very misquoted and misunderstood scripture. Most people apply
this scripture to all that are saved. The couldn't be more
mistaken. It applies specifically to those who are chosen to be
pastors etc. God desires all be saved........why wouldn't he chose
all? Jesus was specifically talking to a specific group of people,
he was sending out to preach the gospel. Then to top it off in the
same scripture you use to ridicule Duplantis..............it says in
the end...........ask "anything" Define "anything" Anyway I
just picked out that one little point to respond too. Our
main problem in the church today is false doctrines.............and
some of those are Calvin's. (yes go ahead, call me a heretic too.)
Some day you should try to take the rose colored doctrine glasses
off and re-read the bible.

This is the second time I've written
in the last thirty minutes, but, I really feel the need to just say,
that, when it comes to televangilists, I am always sickened by the
"need" for money, donations, etc. When Christ sent an apostle
ahead to find shelter, He specifically said, not to ask, but only
accept, if offered. Times may have changed, only in the fact that
we move quicker from place to place, but, to spead the word,
shouldn't the way, be a gift to the teacher(preacher, minister, etc)
and not so much the rendering unto man what is man's?How many change
of clothes did Jesus have? Or how big was Jesus' home? Christ
sought souls, never wealth for himself, only the needs of others.

I just read your article on Joel Osteen and i disagree with you. i think the only way back to God for this world is to learn to be happy with everything that we are going through and try to make anything negative into positive. That moment changed the

surprised, but...I'm not.
We moved to Houston
several years ago, and several people kept asking if we wanted to go
to Lakewood Church... How many ways can you say "no, he's doctrinally
off base at best, and probably better categorized as a false teacher"
(and I really want to just smack that permanent smile off his face
sometimes).
Fortunately, sites such as
yours, churches such as Grace Community Church, most of the Southern
Baptist churches, and others, still have the guts to teach the truth,
be it in season or not (my rough translation - "like it or not, get

Look if you are a John
chapter 3 and a Romans chapter 10 "Born Again" believer in Christ like
I am then you that these two are not. These are
two lost individuals that
are capitalizing on calling themselves a gay Christian rock group.
Just because they play are Lutheran, Episcopal, presbyterian venues
doesn't make them Christian any more than you or I spending a lot of
time in a Garage would makes Cars. Those denominations now wouldn't
know the true Gospel, and Paul;s teachings if it bit them on the Nose.
You notice that that haven't played at any Baptist, Assemblies of God,
Nazerine, Four Square, Non Denominational Bible believing Churches

I understand that there
are a lot of people sending Jesse Duplantis money and that may help
his living situation but if God wasnt behind him then his ministry
would not have prospered the way it has God would have knocked him
and his ministry down a long time ago. God has the power to do what
He wants when He wants it and I know that Jesse wouldnt have come as
far as he has if God hadnt helped him get there. I believe that
everyone has a different kind of relationship with God. Some people
can hear His voice audibly some cant some seek out God more than
others so when you hear that someone has heard the VOICE OF GOD
there are people that will be skeptical of that but anything is
possible with God and once you start doubting that then you are
doubting God himself. There may be no biblical proof that what Jesse
says about heaven is true but there is plenty in the Bible saying
that God uses people to fulfil his purpose and that He will put
people in extraordinary situations to fulfill that purpose and that
God has the ability to do anything. If He can create us then its not
too crazy to think that He could bring us into Heaven. I honestly
dont know if what Mr. Duplantis is 100 percent the truth there is no
way to know that for sure thats between him and God and not for you
or I to judge. Your wasting your time trying disprove everyone
else's experiences with God i think it would help you to focus
on building your own relationship with Him. I dont think other
people would matter so much to you if you did that.

I am glad I found this article. I just attended a church service last night which Jesse Duplantis was a guest preacher. A lot of what he talked about also made me think to myself, "what does this have to do with the gospel?" Up until I attended this church service that Jesse Duplantis preached at, I looked up to him. I had even bought a book and DVD of Jesse Duplantis. I don't think the same about him anymore. He seems way too money and wealth oriented. Money is mostly what he talked about at the church service.

recently for I'd never heard of him before. I was given to read, a
prophecy that he supposedly gave in April about the election and I was
appalled so I decided to look him up on the internet. I found your

Hello, I just wanted to tell you about
an experience I had last year. I had been attending a Saturday evening
bible study for almost a year when I realized that the leaders were
slowly being indoctrinated by their Assembly of God fellowship in the
teachings of Rick Warren. I had no doubt because I saw a copy of one
of his books in their home, and their discussions were more and more
aimed at passing on Warren's heresy. I thought we had a good
relationship, but when I gave them some reading material written by
other responsible teachers and explained to they were being
deceived, they simply told me, "We have read the bible and know what's
in it." I had to leave the group, and less than 6 months they
disbanded. It grieved me to see their stubbornness and hard hearts,
but they are just two of many who will be caught up in the rush to
fulfill the prophesy of the Harlot of Babylon, unless they repent. I
pray that they will come to their senses and come out of the snare of
the devil.

We don't sin, we have relationship issues. I agree that the
north American church has lost its way and pastors from places like

I can honestly say that I was caught up
in this cycle when I attended a word faith type of church. I left it
because I always felt I didn't measure up to the outward appearance
standard(i.e' expensive suits, fanciest car, greatest tithe giver,
part of the leadership click, etc. etc.) The worst part was me not
fully grasping the truth of God which is being saved by grace alone
through Jesus Christ.
When I repented and started reading the
word of God and looking at our Lord Jesus' example; I began to notice
that what I saw, heard, and experienced looked less Christ-like and
more carnal. I left because I didn't here JESUS' voice.
I have learned to embrace God and His
Word and keep Psalm 118:8 in my memory bank. I even put PS118 V8 on my
license plate. Whenever people ask me what it stands for, I joyfully
tell them. Following Jesus closely helps a soldier to know the enemy
and its cohorts. I realize that I might fall but The Lord won't
utterly cast me down because I accept His Lordship and the finished
work of His cross.
To this day, I am being deprogrammed by
the grace of God. And now I see that only Christ fills the spiritual
void that none of us could ever fill. Your article quickened my spirit
because I find myself asking God for forgiveness as of late. It is too
easy to allow the word sown to get choked if we're not truly praying
in The Spirit and feeding on God's Word regularly. Thank you for being
sensitive to God's Spirit and faithful with a timely word of urgency

I saw Kim Clement in Scottsdale AZ about
two years ago. At the time I was very skeptical of his
prophecies. Unfortunately many people rely on these so called
prophets for their word when they should be seeking a word directly
from GOD. I do believe that there are true prophets amongst us
however, as Christians we are so easily led astray by the word
prophet. The bible clearly states that we should try the word by the
word but many of us choose to just believe what we hear because they
are words from prophets. Well, the scripture in the bible that
states many will say Lord Lord did I not prophesy in your name, heal
in your name and he will say depart from me I know you not you worker
of iniquity is truly one we should take hold of when seeking a word or

If the Whites were truly Christians and
practiced what they were preaching the marriage could have been
salvaged. So, I think they are both "living a lie" proclaiming to be
such fine Christians and can't even keep their own lives straight.
I read your article and you are right. I
once was going to a Mega Church so as to not be involved with anyone.
I did this because I had been disappointed by several churches and the
wrongness I saw there. I guess I just gave up for awhile. I sat
through the services at the big church and gave my money every week. I
knew if something were to happen to me that I would never be
missed and I was okay with that. The senior pastor there was a good
man, but when you have 5,000 attendees, there are compromises to
be made to make people feel good about church. A good sermon on Hell
or fornication or godly living would probably caused a sizeable number

Overtime, I found finally found a
suitable church to attend after several attempts to find a good one. I
made it a point to interview the pastor at a restaurant before I ever
set foot in the church building. I wanted to make sure he was for real
and not a phony.
He pastors a church which is less than
100 people. He is probably one of the finest Christians I have
ever known in 32 years as a believer. He said he will preach the
whole Word of God even if he has to go to jail someday in the future
when the bible is deemed politically incorrect. You can tell that
he lives the gospel every single day. He has never been to bible
college, but he has 30 years of faithful service to the Lord for his
credentials. You might say that the Holy Spirit has been his only
teacher and his mind is unpolluted by man's ideas.

I have learned a great deal from your website, regarding the bible, but I do take exception to your negativity about Joel Osteen. of course you have every right to your opinion, but I have felt such overwhelming fear in these last few months, and this pastor has helped me to get a grip, and see that God is in charge. in these times, we need a positive vision, and this nice young man seems to understand and love people, no matter who or what they are. for a senior citizen who grew up catholic, it is a refreshing change, and closer to the good, kind God I believe exists.

words….be very careful when you pick up stones…..I appears to me that

I found it to be provocative and to be
honest quite blows my mind. I use to think Jack Van Impe was great
until I read articles that he has been predicting from y2k end of days
to the second coming dates for years. This article saddens me but I
was wondering why or where his son went, do you know what he is doing
now. Also is there any preacher that's not out to fill his own
pockets. I think I'll just stick to reading the bible and believe in

Great Article. Years ago, I came in
contact with a man who was teaching that we had to visualize Jesus. I
tried, but it did not work. I realized that my puny little mind could
never imagine the Lord Jesus Christ as He is in his Glory and Majesty.
His Holy Word is sufficient to guide us in this life until we go to be
with Him. Patricia King is a pied piper and a con artist who guides
the unwary into a New Age trap while making a little cash on the her

I am a fairly liberal person. I have
however found great joy in Jesse D. I do receive wonderful information
about the Bible during his telecasts. I appreciate his
preaching's that express loving everyone, no matter the color of their
skin. I have many sources to fill my spiritual gas tank,
Jesse being one of those sources. He does not preach politics, which
I appreciate, unlike Kenneth Copeland who produced a flyer on "how to
vote".......Any of these evangelists who preach politics need to have
their 501 (c) tax status pulled. As far as his story about
heaven. I liked the story, it was so sweet. Now whether
he actually traveled into Heaven, I cannot confirm, but however he
decides to spread his message of faith matters not to me.

truth of the Word is never experienced or expressed - forms of
tradition or contemporary logic is exercise and therefore the
believers never experience maturity. No matter how well written these
books may be or how good they make us feel, we will never learn about
the Lord, His Church, His foundation, without the scholarship He has
established in His book the Bible. ³As a wise master
builder," said Paul, "I have laid the foundation, and another builds
on it. But let every man take heed how he builds upon it² (1
Corinthians 3:10).

Hello Robert, As for you example of As I Lay Dying, what is so demonic about a skull? Wasn't it our Father in heaven that created skulls? My question to you, did you contact the band to see why and for what purpose the chose this cover? If we want to sit in judgment and lead others to do so by speaking out in ignorance by spreading unfactual opinions (also known as gossip) , then I would and I would recommend to others to follow your words blindly and wholeheartedly. POD is a band I have unlimited respect for. They perform at concerts where there are worldly people & also play in concert by themselves. Just like As I Lay Dying and Underoath. At these concerts-just like church services-there unsaved people. With unsaved people come their unsaved habits. A Christian concert just like a church service gives opportunity to plant seed. Just because they started the concert this way doesn't mean they ended it the same. If those at the concerts raised their hands in the sign of rock (which was created by Ronnie James Dio in remembrance of his grandma pointing at him with her hand held in that symbol representing the sign for "the evil eye") and where Christians then they need prayer for their ignorance not criticism and condemnation. Aren't we here for the same purpose? To save the lost and bring Christ into others' lives? It's difficult for me to swallow your words wholeheartedly because that would mean that the magnificent God I serve is limited in the genre of music he reaches out to the lost sheep. That would mean that the God that brought me out of darkness has less power the Satan because Satan uses anything he wants (some tele-evangelists, music, family members, mental illness, etc...) against us. That is not the God I serve. If that is the God you serve I would encourage you to rethumb through your Bible because it says, " make a joyful noise" which is in the eye of the beholder. I am not here to defend this specific genre of music but I'm here in protest-what seems to be a lack of faith in God. So here in my, rebuke know that my intention is not malicious but in effort to sway you to research as far as you can before you post anything on-line. By your opinion you may sway people in the negative, which can cause them to turn from God. Please hear my

believe Rod Parsley is not a False Prophet (One who says he is God's
spokesman, WHO speaks falsehoods or lies). Who's real intention is to
pillage and take captive God's people. I believe you are healed
because The Word of God says so, NOT because the pain is gone. In
order to receive anything from God One has to 1st. Know what is
available. 2. HOW to receive it. Healing is either available or,
it is not. Quite frankly, There are whole sections in the Bible that
declare Physical healing and Wholeness ARE available and, if it takes
something as stupid as a prayer cloth or whatever for one needs, to
ACCEPT their own healing (and) or Wholeness
GOD
personally doesn't care. GOD desires to heal them. The contact point
is their accepting their deliverance. I don't believe it matters what
it is. The Question with a person is "ALWAYS"
Does God's ability matches his willingness? It is never a God problem
it is always a One's accepting what God has promised. If people
send money in to ANYONE that claims to puts forth God's promises. The
will receive the promise because that is what they expect It is "NOT"
the money or the amount money that heals them but, the confidence that
God's promise is for them. to the depth of their Heart. All giving
does, is an act of faith (FOR YOURSELF) that God will supply. It is an
outward act (to yourself) that God is your SOURCE of supply.
There is a lot more to say, I feel I need to say one more thing. Rod
Parsley is just a Man, who God has given a responsibility of
stewardship to, of the gift he has and is
(like you and me) and
who is and in the future will be accountable to his Lord for how

We as Christian's have to reach out to everyone, not just the people we like and are comfortable being around. When we spend all of our time condemning them instead of also showing them God's love through us - we are failing as Christians. I read your article on Kim Clement, as a false prophet. After reading it, and how the paragraphs were wrote, Kim Clement is not a false prophet. Here are my reasons:
in the old testament, we see that most prophesies took years to be fulfilled, and I mean years. I am honestly shocked to see that you missed that. Take the Captivity of all Israel for example, since the prophets first said it would happen, it took many years to happen.
The scriptures does tell us to test the spirits, yes this is true, and it does tell us how to identify false prophets, true. I see from the articles on your site that you have a lot of spiritual growing up to do, and I mean a lot... |

The bible says that No Murderer will enter the kingdom of God. A pack of smokes say on them that they kill you. So a person who smokes knows they are killing themselves and that is suicide/murder. There is no difference in smoking and putting a gun to your head. When a person kills themselves, it is because they have no hope. No hope means they have no faith. And without faith it is impossible to please God. And God's word says that the just shall live by faith. A person smokes because they think they need it even though they know it is killing them. They also know that God's word says that there is no temptation that God through Christ can take from a person if they have faith. And we know that God's word says that we are saved by grace through faith, our faith. Faith is a verb. And if we lose faith and give up, then we give up our life in Him. Because if we hold fast to the end, we receive at the end of our life of faith; eternal life. So don't be a Demas and give up. He was once a great man in the Lord who had the Spirit of God, but let it all go because he'd rather feed his flesh and in the end, LOST and perished with the non-believers. The Word of God is Black & White. Take it for what it says. You don't need a person who says he has a doctorate in theology to know what is common sense. A child can understand the Word. I've been reading a lot of your site and I've noticed that many, when they write their columns in your site seem to say, "I am not putting down nor degrading these pastors and such". But I believe by God's Word, that as Paul tells us in Romans 16:21; "To MARK those who cause derision and teach contrary to the Word of God and avoid them". I think as Christians, we are called also to be watchmen on the wall and warn of the dangers of these people and their teachings, otherwise many will perish. Discernment and also common sense shows that these false so-called pastors are not Christians but are rather what Jesus told the Pharisees; "In teaching them, you make them twice the devils as you are." Let's face it, almost all these so-called preachers we see and hear are nothing more than products of the devils that taught them. They are mostly all taught from schools which teach the bible. But the problem is, is that instead of learning God's word through the Holy Spirit teaching them, they are just learning it as if it was just a school history book and they're learning it with an earthly and worldly heart and mind and not with a born-again spiritual heart. So the only so-called preachers and teachers being pumped out of these seminaries are worldly men and women who memorize the bible like we memorize any other book. Then we get these worldly people who are mammon-minded and have figured out a way to use it to their advantage, and presto! you have a Televangelist or a religious-carnie. Just like Martin Luther warned us of the RCC, it's teaching and it's leaders, we also should warn about these men and women, who are NOT even Christian. And yes, I mean NOT. Reading God's Word and praying about what we read will truly give a Christian a discerning heart and mind by just simply watching and hearing them. These people must be pointed out so that Christians new and old should avoid them, because they are of the world and not of God. A high percentage of Christians support these carnies because we have left our first love and nothing is being said because we are afraid we are judging. But we must judge righteous judgment and shout out these warnings. These carnies are living high on the hog by taking advantage of God's people and hide behind tax-exempt status. They should not be able to have tax-exempt status because they are not teaching the word exactly as Jesus told us and thus they should have it revoked. God's word tells us to do and live everything in moderation, which they don't. Jesus said, "My Words are Spirit and Truth," but they teach it worldly. So since they are claiming tax-exemption because of their Christian beliefs, but not following nor teaching true Christian beliefs handed to us by Jesus, then they are lying and cannot stand behind saying they are a Christian organization. So if they want tax-exempt status, they must rather claim they are a religious-cult church and NOT Christian. They twist the scriptures to their own destruction and are taking millions with them and they must be exposed. This is why the world does not listen anymore because they think they are what Christians are and thus the world counts true Christians with those deceivers. I'm truly thinking about writing a small book or pamphlet for ALL the world to read and see about these deceivers and instead of saying Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I'll call it Dollars, Cents and Holy Cow! Since this article was written in 2006 you've had time to rethink your charges against Mr. Duplantis, however since this article remains on your site you evidently still believe what you have written. At one time in my walk with the Lord I believed as you do... Thanks be to God, I no longer do. Jesse believes in the God of the Bible, not the god man has created in his finite and limited image. Only the god made in man's image would limit the blessings to His children and the tools they need to complete what He has asked of them. The greatest reason Jesse is rich and is who Jesse is, is because Jesse doesn't care about Jesse. His focus is Jesus. He would preach as he does whether he had the money or not. He already has. Jesse has proved his faithfulness and when God has a man who loves Him more than he loves money, God pours more in his direction. He is total sold out for Jesus and the manifestations of scripture in his and Kathy's life bare witness to the truth of the Word of God. Yes, he is funny... it is called the joy of the Lord.
You mentioned if one still believes Jesse to be a true preacher after reading your words that you pray for us... I pray for you. Return to the The Word of God... Abraham, David, Job, Solomon, and a host of many others were rich beyond understanding... because they were obedient and loved the Lord God with all their heart. Just as Jesse and Kathy do. Jesus was the richest and most powerful man in the world. He was a king...yet he was born to a woman who's husband was not the father of her child... he was born in a stable... he was rejected by his hometown and friends... he was falsely accused... he was humble and humiliated... he was murdered. Why? So every single person on this earth would know He did it for ALL of mankind and to allow fellowship with the Father. If we have accepted Jesus, we are 'in Him'... we are one. Right now Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father and is rich beyond measure... If we are 'in Him' ... we are too. Unfortunately, the majority of believers live their lives thinking with their own minds and the human mind puts limits on what 'we' can do. Fear and reasoning are the greatest blocks. But when we are born again, the bible tells us we have been given the mind of Christ. If this is true, then there are no limits to what we can do and what we can be blessed with. Our God is infinite... there are no limits. Jesse Duplantis knows this principle... why crucify him with your words because you do not? Let me start by saying that I never pick fights. It's just not my inner desire, nor does it do any good. That said, I'm nearly seeing red over your "insightful journalism" in the article that had a YouTube link & a written transcript of a Larry King interview. I looked for an author, but it wasn't popping out to me.
I wouldn't have signed it either.
Joel may not make you squirm in your seat, or make you feel uncomfortable about your walk with Jesus, but is that needed from every last pastor? No.
Some can come forward & deliver the message of love & salvation, and when someone gets the fire for Jesus, then hit them with some harder issues. You are well aware of the fact that you were called to be "fishers of men" - Joel's doing it, and the "bait" is a message of love & acceptance. We can worry about the harder issues once we show love.
America & the world is full of enough things to squash a new believer or a non believer when it comes to their walk with God, and I contend that it's the work of Satan. He's a crafty one, and just because you have advanced beyond John 3:16 doesn't mean a guy like Joel shouldn't repeat it. The people of the world need to hear that message, and it should be repeated whenever possible.
You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and I bet Joel has brought more souls to the Lord than you. He makes no bones about who he is, or lie about having degrees to hang on his wall to prove he can give a message of love. If that's so important, then I'd love to see John the Baptist's PHD.
You should be ashamed of treading on a honest guy who isn't afraid to simply say "I don't know" a few times in a interview. If we aired out your dirty laundry, what would we find?

You are so right with this article. I am a born again Christian and belong to a Baptist church and all they care about is numbers. Most members seem to go to church just to be with their friends and to be seen. Most wouldn't know THE HOLY SPIRIT if it slapped them in the face, they are more concerned with following the will of the majority than THE WILL OF GOD. I'm sorry if I sounded rather harsh but I just needed to sound off. I believe that most of them will be sitting in the same pew waiting for church service to begin the first Sunday after the rapture and not even notice that some of their members are missing. I didn't know where best ask this on your site, because this isn't really a blog question. I have issue with professing Christian pastors selling their professed God given messages. Televangelists mostly. I know many other "on air" media pastors that freely send copies of any information concerning God's word to anyone that asks for it. Jesse Duplantis, John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, and the list goes on all sell God's word. I know when I was lost, this is what partly kept my heart closed to the Gospel. The apparent hypocrisy. Taking advantage of mindless sheep. I have recently written correspondence to some of these ministries asking for scripture to justify what they do. I really enjoyed your article titled "Scoping, Identifying & Taking Aim at Deceivers: Knowing How and When to Mark." This is a subject of Christianity that you never hear spoken in Churches today. I attend a Fundamental Church that actually preaches the opposite about marking/reproving false Churches/Teachers. Which really bothers me because I know for a fact that the Lord has put it on my heart to make known those who are spreading false gospels. And in fact me and a brother in Christ do that vary thing up here in Canada, because I CANNOT have it on my heart that people are being deceived and as a result going to Hell. For I firmly believe that if I know the truth and don't reprove those heretical teachers than the flock under this particular teachings blood is on my hands. You are right on with these people. I have always felt queasy when I saw them on TV, and now that I can read their quotations on your site, it makes everything extremely clear. I saw Mike Murdock on TV the other night...and you are right on when you say about him that he can "stand in front of virtually anyone and preach about getting rich and never blink an eye". I was starting to get so angry while watching it (just like when I watch the praise-the-lord telethons on TBN! or any other program on TBN for that matter!) I actually called the 800 number and asked the person on the other end if she had actually seen Mike Murdock's show. She said no. So I politely informed her of what all he was saying and asked if she believed in the Bible. She said she did, so I pointed out once again how he was teaching AGAINST the Bible and everyone in the audience had HIS book in their hands instead of the Bible. She seemed surprised and seemed to listen to me. These preachers make me sick. But the Lord said they would emerge in these last days! Thank you for your website. Hello, I just wanted to say that I think your website is great!!! It plainly tells us in the word to speak out against false prophets, and that is exactly what you are doing. It makes me mad that these people are making this money and doing these things in the name of Jesus. They are obviously mis-lead themselves, I have had to remind myself of that time and time again so that I can pray for them in the right way. I have often ranted and raved and said at least a devil worshiper admits that they are a devil worshiper, these people are doing it in the name of Christ. I know.....strong words for me to judge with......that is why I have to bring myself down to a place to pray for them, because God wants me to love them, so that they can turn from their sin, so they can make it to heaven someday. This doesn't mean that they shouldn't be called out though. What an interesting article!!!! This is the first article I have seen about his "new" book, although I hear his advertisement on TBN and Daystar, and when I hear his "advertisement" of In Defense of Israel (the book), I think.. the Eternal does not need John Hagee to defend Israel - they are his chosen, the apple of his eye; he has not forsaken them and never will. There are many prophecies about Israel, Jerusalem, etc., and they all are positive results. Their Eloha is the Creator and when the world comes up against Israel they are coming up against God Almighty; therefore, they cannot win.
We are admonished to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to love the Jews, to help them (and not think ourselves higher than they are). I believe that most evangelists are "stumbling" over that Rock - they do not want to see the Truth as it has been given by a Holy God.

I am in agreement with Rev. Horton. I do not think, allow me to changed that I know Joel is not preaching the entire Gospel of Jesus. He states in his own words, " I gotta get back up here and feed everybody and be my best and inspire them and have some good stories, keep them listening, you know, it takes a lot of work, it takes diligence". What kind of "good story" will lead sinners to Christ? The message he brings is one of self empowerment and not Christ centered except to get something of material value. I also agree with John Macarthur, pastor of Grace Community Church, when he says that Charismatic's have influenced a lot people around the world but in the same efforts to win them to Christ as easy and as fast as possible, some biblical truths are set aside and/ or disregarded for the sake of increased numbers. not the exact quote) If Joel were to preach the Cross of Christ, sad to say a large number of the people in the Lakewood Church would dismember themselves from there. He does have a big order to fill when it comes to providing the truth of Christ but all the blame is not his. the people that go to that church are satisfied with the ear tickling that they receive and they are too lazy to search the scriptures for themselves. Joel may not ask for money every Sunday but if you constantly tell people what they want to hear, the money will not stop. Telling them part truths and his own methods of obtaining happiness will continue to birth weak, partially scripturally educated, unequipped witness' to the Real Jesus Christ.

I had noticed that you didn't supply biblical rebuttal to much of what they said, so I would like to ask you to describe to what method of beliefs you ascribe to, whether that be a Denomination or Sect of some sort, and a brief statement of your faith, highlighting your doctrine on the main points of contention within the church, such as Salvation, Repentance, Baptism, Divine Healing, Speaking in Tongues, Spiritual Gifts (ie. In fact, it was the Proverbs passage (24:10-12) which really urged me to speak up and tell my parents about how their favorite preacher could be a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” However, when discussing this issue with someone, they cited these verses: 2 Peter 2:10-11 (10) But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. (11) Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. Jude 1:9 (9) Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. They tell me it is wrong to “speak evil” against a specific person; we shouldn’t even speak evil of the Devil, (Jude says), and in 2 Peter, the angels won’t speak against these false teachers. Now I know there must be something wrong with this argument, and I’m sure I’ll figure it out; but in my pursuit to understand their error I thought I’d ask you, if you have the time to give me an answer? Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts with you about this article. Pastor Joel Osteen and his church family have so influenced the lives of millions of people. Pastor Osteen has been called to give so many people hope, and he is doing just that. We are living here on earth, not heaven, but on earth and in turbulent times. Times of hypocrisy. Times where adults are asking "what's wrong with our children?" The children who are our future. These same children who have access to pornography through the internet, which provides them a glimpse of child perpetrators, abusers, drugs, and offer sex, sin and stink. The problem is not with our children, it is with our adults. And, hope can be the answer for many adults to reach a universal resolve of living in harmony, while we are still here on earth.
Now here comes one who can provide hope though his own humility. One who offers personal testimonies about his life and family, and to touch the tears of so many...... I would say to those who are so critical about Pastor Osteen's message to examine themselves. Furthermore, for them to question how many people they have directed or re-directed to Christ. They must know that the other side of the light is darkness, and many do not know where the light ends and the darkness begins. Therefore, that same light can come to those who are called by "deception". A deception that leads them to see themselves as "Holier than God" and then they feel a certain responsibility to constantly preach about judgment and damnation. God is our witness, that we already have more than enough of those misguided men of the cloth, who on their televised programs are always asking for money, as if money is going to be what gets you into Heaven. I would also ask those who would be so critical of the good work that is being done by Pastor Osteen that 'if he is leading so many little lambs to the Chief Shepherd, then why, in the name of our Lord, are they calling it heresy?' I would say, do not challenge the method, look at the outcome, look at the result. Oh, wait a minute, that's right, they will not know the result until they enter into the Heavenly gates and then they will be a witness and a receiver as to the abundant work completed by Pastor Osteen while he was still on earth.....
Yes, the Word tells us that we must be called to repentance, an asking of forgiveness of our sins. That is what I will continue to do, and hopefully, those who are called to be judgmental will do the same. I am also going to continue to listen and enjoy the stories so told by Pastor Osteen with compassion, with honor and love. A love that strengthens me to look forward to a tomorrow, while I am still, yet here on earth.
We are so blessed and I am so glad that 'man' is not our God. Man is so far away from the true essence of God. Man should leave the judgments and the penalties to God, when that time comes. And, while man is still here on earth, he should stay in the fold of giving hope, renewal, and restoration. I thank God for His eternities and humbly accept man's transistorizes.

I'm so fed up with TV PREACHERS . I'm sick to death with them. It's all about money and not souls. GOD is going to have a hay day with all of them. We have the same problem with a preacher in Roanoke Va. He. scams old people out of money. Closes the church says he was the CEO and it was closed. He and his wife took all the money. But he is being investigated and he will problem go down for fraud. He took the building fund money that was to build a church and the money he scammed an old women out of and said there was no building fund. Two checks was found made out to the church and on the checks it was written building fund. That proves the case. This man is also a crook. They need to be punished. The church was FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER in Roanoke, Virginia. and the preacher was LARRY WAYNE LYKENS I would like to ask what the purpose of your site is. it says in the bible that we are to unify the body of Christ and you are just tearing down HUMANS that might make mistakes to. also it says if someone is doing something wrong, you are to meet privately with that person and tell them that you are concerned with the way they are acting, not blare it out on a worldwide web where everyone can read it. It's all about priorities. When a woman's ministry takes her away from her husband, things are out of order. They are out of God's order for making priorities. You can preach His word without judging all those around you and putting them down. When did Jesus bash and put people down in the Bible? As Christians we are to be Christ-like, that is to love and not judge and proclaim the good news. In stead of concentrating all your efforts on the most recent Christian gossip turn around and go and tell someone of Jesus' love for them and what He has done for them.
Also, try not to limit Jesus and the Holy Spirit to a box. All things are possible through Him. Just because you have not seen it with your own eyes doesn't mean that it is not possible. Have faith and let God awe you a little bit. I hope that this has helped and feel free to e-mail back if you wish. Interesting and very verbose commentary. This is not a slam on you personally. The ministry itself is what needs minor repairs. But then again that is between you and the Lord. All I can say....is shame on you. What motivates another Christian organization to attack another...not enough evil targets to choose. Jealous of success. You and this organization causes division and you will answer for it. They should be ashamed, and no doubt should have spent some of that energy on lifting Christ up above themselves. I'm sorry for them. And one more thought...shouldn't this man step down from the pulpit? How many divorces does it take to disqualify yourself from being a preacher of the precious word of God? Alick Clarke is STILL a board member of the church? If so, he is as much to blame as the Whites. He openly acknowledges that their message is wrong, damaging, and at the core of the problem -- and he continues. Sorry, but this is exactly why such heresy continues to reign in the charismatic movement today. People like Clarke pump in the money, remain in there churches, and then admit it is wrong. This is in direct disobedience to scripture to WITHDRAW oneself from such as the Whites, as long as they refuse to repent of their heresy. This is a true woman of God. This is just another stepping stone for her to get what God has in store for her. "This Too Shall Pass"... commenting on the Juanita Bynum Divorce I am deeply grieved about this. Juanita Bynum's ministry has touched me deeply over the years. I first became familiar with her ministry through Higher Dimensions Evangelistic Center under the pastorate of Carlton Pearson. He was my pastor for 11 years. I am still not over what has happened to him, and now this. What is happening to God's people, to His army?? Our high profile ministers are on the front lines fighting legions of demons...fighting the Generals of Satan's army. They need our prayerful support like never before. It's time for corporate fasting and prayer for our leaders. Satan's key object of attack has always been the family because strong families make strong churches. No better way to weaken the church than to destroy the family. My prayers are with Prophetess Bynum, for her protection, for emotional and physical healing, and for wisdom to know what to do. I also pray that God brings something extraordinarily wonderful out of this mess. For Mr. Weeks I pray deliverance from a cruel and violent spirit. I cannot bring myself to call him Bishop after this. God's will be done. Bishop Weeks is obviously not practicing what he preaches. How can you give counsel and advice to other married couples but cannot apply that same counsel when faced with a problem at home? I don't think he knows the meaning of "becoming one flesh", No one insults themselves or beat or bruised themselves unless they have a mental problem. The same way he loves himself he is supposed to love his wife. Their marriage is definitely in BIG TROUBLE he being a so called "man of God " I think should know better he is not letting God's Spirit guide his life. I Think he should be disciplined by the church to the fullest degree. My thoughts on their trouble marriage and not only theirs but all marriages is that prayer is needed .because the enemy is trying to destroy God's plan for marriages. I just read your piece about Rod Parsley. You are 100% accurate in your assessment. I know from personal experience. My ex-husband and I were members of his congregation when gatherings were held in a little wooden building in the middle of a corn field. That was 1980.
We were faithful attendees and generous with our tithes, offerings and love gifts--even turning over 100% of my paycheck time and time again. Fast forward to the time when my marriage collapsed and I was abandoned not only by my ex-husband but his unsaved family.
I was 43 years old alone (I have no family) with a 3 year old baby (my only child) a new job and facing the loss of the only home my child knew. Naturally I went to the church as a Biblically legitimate "widow and orphan." I wanted to meet with Rod (whom we knew casually before he married Joni.) He knew us on a first name basis,. He dedicated our daughter to The Lord at 30 days of age.
Guess what? I never got to meet with Rod. I met, instead, with "Brother Bill," one of Rod's faithful "protectors" who simply told me the church would be praying for me. Bill reminded me that I was also to "submit to my husband ..." blah blah blah. My husband became addicted to crack cocaine, pornography and alcohol. No way was I going to attempt to raise my child in that environment.
What I needed, in addition to prayer, was a reprieve of sorts--perhaps 3 months of paying the mortgage until I could get on my feet. Rod's "name it and claim it" was nowhere to be found. God has, of course, been faithful and my daughter is a scholar/athlete about to graduate college with two degrees. God is faithful.
I walked out of Parsley's church and have never gone back. Parsley is a fraud. His sister was put before the congregation and we were asked to pray for her many times. I don't recall what her ailment was.
Rod himself suffered from agoraphobia at one point and could not leave his home. Rod married Joni who stuttered and was felled by migraines. The guy is a con artist. He is a megalomaniac and nothing more than a pimp. While he and his "inner circle" of cronies grew fat and rich with new homes, jewelry and drove luxury cars people like me struggled wondering why his prosperity message wasn't working.
I will close with this: you are 100% on point as are the other contributors. Parsley's narcissistic and pumped up ego are difficult to watch. His antics in the pulpit are nothing more than an act. He has had many staff members leave over the years because of the way he yells and bullies people. This guy is the scum of the earth.
Sure, I've forgiven him in obedience to God's word. I shall never forget. Others of his ilk are part of an elitist group of televangelists who do nothing more than rake in the dollars and send out "prayer clothes, holy water" and other talismans. His "ministry" is nothing but smoke and mirrors--a P.T. Barnum sideshow.
I believe it was Barnum who said "There's one born (a sucker) every minute" referring to his tactic for emptying a sideshow tent by use of a sign which read "To the Egress!" When the last act was finished the sign lit up. People flocked to see "The Egress" and found themselves outside the tent. I read your article on T.D. Jakes and I’m wondering if a person is prosperous in this world is he receiving this from Satan? In other words, should you be languishing in poverty to have God’s favor? I have also heard Joel Osteen’s broadcasts and both he and Jakes can inspire and uplift using Scripture. However, these preacher’s are actually coming under fire for being false teachers and satanic. Is it wrong to pray for prosperity in your life? Are material possessions to be shunned because they are of this world? And we know who the prince of this world is, don’t we? I have recently joined a Pentecostal church and serve as the drummer on the praise team. I have been playing drums secularly and still play in a rock band. I accept Jesus as my Savior and am fasting in order to get closer to Him. I also am asking for blessings on my finances and advancement in my drumming talents as well as having my future wife being revealed to me after 3 failed marriages. As a Christian, how involved in the world should I be? I ‘m an environmentalist and I get angry at the world for using fossil fuels ( which we never had to use in the first place ). I see the earth being raped for money and we were appointed by God to be the stewards of the earth. Or is it by original sin that we gave up that mission? Since Satan has been granted power over this world? When I get angry about this, is it righteous anger or Satan trying to stir my pot? Should we as Christians not fight the good fight? Or be passive and accept that in Revelations that the world will be destroyed and if we interfere we are getting in God’s way? I only seek the truth because I love the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I look forward to your reply. I have with shock came across your website where it seems to me you make it your ministry to discredit some of Gods people. I do not want to go into a discussion with you about whether they are right or wrong but what I do want to ask of you is that you should consider spending the time and money criticizing them by praying for them. This is the wise thing to do according to the word of God. Other wise please change your surname to Stupid instead of Wise. For it is only a fool that will keep himself busy with what you are doing and calling it a ministry of God. I knew for months something was not right when I would see Paula White preaching about prosperity and constantly asking for money and promising a blessing return..... I found it strange how in these end times the preaching was on prosperity and not get right and get ready, time is so short... that is what should be preached in these very last moments before the rapture takes place. We will be held accountable for what we do not do........ my thoughts........ Also, with all the traveling Randy and Paula White do, why bother to get divorced, I mean they are never together anyway, for the people's sake and not to be a stumbling block, and because God says marriage is a covenant, just stay together. I believe they are making a big mistake and will see this in their ministry.. It will suffer and things will not be the same for them or their ministry. The ministry will not be as big and powerful anymore.....They should really use wisdom in this area and stay married.
Yet, I pray for Paula and Randy and ask the Lord to keep them on the right path so they will not be left behind. None of us are perfect, but we must wake up now, this is our last chance. There will be no more chances pretty soon, and I ask God to help me stay right with him and fix the areas that need to be fixed. I do not want to miss out on the rapture.......If we do not make it out then, it will be harder to after.... My thoughts are this - it's just WRONG! I know this is extremely unpopular in today’s ever so tolerant brand of Christianity, yet these verses remain in God's Word which is forever settled in heaven. The untold millions who are following these blind leaders will likewise fall into the pit unless they return to reading the Word of God for themselves. There remains no sacrifice for those who continue to bow to the twisted and selfish "uplifting messages" being spoon-fed to them by false teachers complete with verses cut from their context as backup. I don't think we will be able to present our "sermon notes" as defense on Judgment Day.
May God have mercy and perhaps grant repentance to those who call themselves by the Name which is above all names yet continue to tolerate and support blatant disobedience to His commands! I suppose you can't "weaken" what was never solid to begin with.

Using the brain God gave you; compare the following verse with their "announcement" that included the statement: "They both said the split involves no third party on either side." It would appear that pastor Randy is causing pastor Paula to commit adultery in whatever relationship she pursues going forward. You won't hear that one taught anymore or a large percentage of the American church would have to repent in sack cloth and ashes for the sin of adultery!
I am amazed at the number of people I meet who claim to have been saved at the time of their marriage (2nd or 3rd usually) and yet still reserve the right to claim "irreconcilable differences" (fancy term for unforgiveness) when they decide to terminate their "what God has joined together" union.
As far as pastor Paula and prophetess Juanita continuing in the pursuit of their own ministries (businesses) after "kicking the husbands to the curb" - they would do well to consider the following from Paul. I suppose no one even wants "to go there" regarding the dress code established for women in Christ - so I won't. But it's there for any and all who wonder if the latest skin-tight, low cut fashion is appropriate for women in the pews/theater chairs or stage (had to a little bit)!

I know I am betraying the "sisterhood" and stepping on the high-heeled toes of today's "satisfied woman!" All I can say is "so be it." The "sisterhood" was deceived at the beginning and continues to believe the lies of the serpent - the liar who continues to pose the question "did God really say?" For the past few decades these celebrity Christian women along with the ever so popular "co-pastoresses" of local mega churches have continued to beguile the majority of the female Christians in this country and around the world into believing that Paul's instruction to the women was a "cultural" thing that only applied to times past - I know because I was one of those beguiled ones!
But by the grace and mercy of a loving Father (who chastises those He loves) I was lead out of the encroaching darkness and back into the Light of His Marvelous Word. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus! I think they are deceived by the devil, and so are many followers. We can't know their personal problems, but from God's word, we can know that they do not qualify as overseers. They assumed this position. They should step down from pastoring and preaching and should never again be in a leadership position in the church. The fact they are both previously married and that Paula is a woman should have disqualified both of them from the leadership roles in the first place. But they and their church are in apostasy. I believe Copeland is the biggest con artist I have ever seen. In his living room or fireside TV appearances, he tries to make you think he is right in your own living room with his transparent facial antics. Look really closely at his gyrations and the way he rolls the movement of his mouth in a good old boy fashion. He is really good at exploiting the religious ignorant.
On the weekends or whenever he retreats to his Texas mansion in his 20 million dollar jet, he probably flops down in his chair with a martini and says, "Damn, I certainly put one over on those ignorant suckers again!"

But I felt your comments on Rick Warren were a little weak. I found that book to be very powerful and have taught many a lesson from it. It has good foundation and scriptures to back up what it was saying. The book to me seemed to point to the believers ultimate purpose which is to glorify God and gave good insight as to how to do this. I would think a false teacher would direct you more toward himself rather than God.
