Recent Supreme Court Rulings
A Threat to Our Heritage and Freedoms
The recent Supreme Court rulings about the Ten Commandments in Court Houses and other places can have a very harsh impact on the way of life here in America in the future.  I am not sure when it happened but over the last fifty years there have been a lot of crazy rulings by the Supreme Court here in America.  The latest being just one of them.  The plain truth of it all is that it is time for us to wake up in America.  In just the last 20 years, things have changed so much concerning our morals and ways of life.  What used to be prohibited is now just the norm.  It's sad that in the 50s and 60s, chewing gum in school was one of the worst problems the teachers had to deal with.  Now it's subjects like guns, knives, sex, drugs, rape and the list goes on and on.  How in God's name can anyone say that our school's are doing the job they were intended to do. This latest ruling is just another step in the downward spiral that America has been taking on a regular basis over the last few decades.

Here is an excerpt from Dr. James Dobson:
Speaking to a national radio audience on Tuesday (June 28), Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family said by ruling against the display of the Ten Commandments in Kentucky courtrooms -- but, in a separate decision, stating a granite monument in Texas depicting the Decalogue is constitutional -- the Supreme Court "tore a hole through the First Amendment."

Dr. James Dobson

Dobson sees very little in the seemingly contradictory decisions to be encouraged about. "This was no affirmation of the right of religious expression," he said in reference to the Texas ruling. He then paraphrased what he feels that ruling essentially stated:

"It's okay to keep a Ten Commandments monument on state-owned land, so long as you don't consider what's written on the state tablets to be anything more than empty words from a bygone era that is only worth remembering as a distant point on a timeline."

He added that the 5-4 vote in the Texas case was "chilling" because it means that four justices sitting on the Supreme Court bench "can't even condone the Commandments under decidedly non-religious circumstances." And if just one of those five justices in the majority had changed their vote, Dobson added, "sandblasters would have had to be taken to just about every government building in Washington, DC -- including the Supreme Court itself."

Moses holding the Ten Commandments is among the wall carvings in the Supreme Court chambers.

WAKE UP AMERICA, we are being deceived into believing whatever comes our way.  God had much to say about this type of behavior.  In 2 Timothy 3:1-4 we read: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;"

And in Romans 1:29-32 we read:  29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Now listen to me! Doesn't this sound just like what is going on in America today?  Of course it does.  The television is filled with sex, sex and more sex.  Violence is prevalent on every channel we turn to on any given night.  Sex, lies, drugs, murder is rampant on every show available it seems.

The Supreme Court Justices of this country has got to get their heads straightened out before it is too late.  This country was founded on Christian principles and was blessed by God for over 200 years, but in the last few years we have seen many countries who have lost their respect for America, are not afraid of her power anymore and have no fear of reprisal.  America used to be feared because all Nations knew that America was just and fair.  America stood for what was good.  America was the country everyone wanted to go to.  We are losing all of this and it's because we have lost our favor with God.

Now is the time to do something about it!  Contact your local Congressmen and Congresswomen and let them know that you want your country to be right in God's site!  To do that they (your congress men and women) need to put their support and backing behind Appointees who will uphold the Constitution as it was meant to be upheld.  Justices who will not RE-WRITE the law but uphold and interpret the law only!
