Reaching the World with Faith
TBN is
the world’s largest religious network and America’s most
watched faith channel.
I would
question why they claim to be "Reaching the World with Faith"
instead of "Reaching the World for Jesus". Faith comes in many
different packages including Satanism which has many faithful
followers. I do not anywhere find a web page showing their
doctrinal beliefs so I am not sure where they actually stand. Also
notice they do not claim to be a Christian network, but a
"religious network". Again, religion comes in many different
packages, therefore I would question what religion they follow.
False Preachers -
False
Teachings
Paul
& Jan Crouch founders of TBN Television Network are adamant
proponents of: Word of Faith, Name It and Claim It, Prosperity
Gospels. They promote preachers of like minds and doctrines and
have saturated the airwaves with these false gospels for many
years now. Their attraction is they portray a lavish lifestyle
that naturally appeals to most people who either already have that
same lifestyle or wish they did. Millions send in money to support
TBN believing that they will also get back more than they. The
scary thing about Paul Crouch is he has gotten carried away with
his own legalism and deity. Read below some of Paul Crouch's
remarks and you will get a further understanding of what I mean.
***************************************************
1.
Christians are little gods. (Praise the Lord (TBN), recorded
7/7/86)
2. "Do you know what else that's settled then tonight? This
hue and cry and controversy that has been spawned by the devil to
try to bring dissension within the body of Christ that we are
gods. I am a little god. I have His name. I am one with Him. I'm
in covenant relation. I am a little god. Critics be gone!" (Paul
Crouch, "Praise the Lord" program, July 7, 1986).
3. Anti-intellectual, anti-doctrine: "I think God's given
up on a lot of that old rotten Sanhedrin religious crowd, twice
dead, plucked up by the roots. I think they're damned and on their
way to hell and I don't think there's any redemption for them...the
heresy hunters that want to find a little mote of illegal doctrine
in some Christian's eye and pluck that little mote out of their
eye when they've got the whole forest in their own lives and in
their own eyes. I say to hell with you! Oh hallelujah. Get
out of God's way, quit blocking God's bridges or God's gonna
shoot you if I don't! I refuse to argue any longer with any of
you out there. Don't even call me. If you want to argue doctrine,
if you want to straighten out somebody over here, if you want to
criticize Ken Copeland for his preaching on faith, or Dad Hagin.
Get out of my life! I don't even want to talk to you or hear you.
I don't want to see your ugly face! Get out of my face in
Jesus' name." (Paul Crouch, "Praise-a-thon" broadcast on TBN,
recorded 4/2/91)
4. Paul Crouch said (on the TBN show "Praise The Lord"
during their money-raising telethon) "if you have been healed
or saved or blessed through TBN and have not contributed to (the)
station, you are robbing God and will lose your reward in heaven."
(Witnessed by Ed Tarkowski, e-mail Mon, 04 Aug 1997 20:34:13

5. "Ah, dear Partners, can you see why God has called this
TBN ARMY together in these last days? YOU and I are HIS VOICE to
this dying generation! Help Jan and me - all of us - to cry out
-HELLO WORLD! There is hope; there is help; there is deliverance;
there is SALVATION! ... Please let us hear from you this month!
The future of Christian Television, as we have known and loved it,
is in the balance!" (Paul Crouch, Praise The Lord Newsletter,
August 1997, emphasis in the original)
6. "The first evidence to many of us was the great stirring
of the Spirit in Toronto, Canada, about two years ago. Then,
spontaneous revival broke out in Pensacola, Florida. Hungry souls
sometimes wait in line all day just to get into the services at
Brownsville Assembly of God Church. Signs, wonders and miracles,
just like the Book of Acts, are happening there and many other
places at home and abroad!" (Paul Crouch, Praise The Lord
Newsletter, August 1997)
7. "God,
we proclaim death to anything or anyone
that will
lift a hand against this network and this ministry that belongs to
You, God. It is Your work, it is Your idea, it is Your property,
it is Your airwaves, it is Your world, and we proclaim death
to anything that would stand in the way of God's great voice of
proclamation to the whole world. In the Name of Jesus, and all the
people said Amen!" (Paul Crouch, TBN, 11/7/97)
Paul Crouch was also
accused of a homosexual affair with a past employee a few years
back and to avoid bad publicity he settled out of court for
$435,000. That same employee has now decided to sue him for 10
million dollars. Now to me, if I was innocent of a crime, I would
NEVER pay someone $435,000 just to avoid bad publicity. I would
fight it in court and win and publish my innocence everywhere as a
testimony of my faith and honesty.
These are just a few of the
many remarks and actions made by Paul Crouch over the years. The
list goes on and on. Jan, his wife has made many such remarks
during her time on TV which fall right in line with these same
false gospels.
Some of the Preachers Paul
& Jan Crouch promote are Kenneth Copeland,
Jesse Duplantis,
Benny Hinn, Mike Murdock,
Howard Rodney Browne (the laughing
preacher/holy bartender), just to name a few.
Blessings,
Rev. Wise
